KAW950D5 is a 5-axis servo robot for 180–300T injection molding machines. The wrist rotation lets it orient the part before release, which is what you need for insert loading, in-mold labeling and any take-out where the part must arrive in a fixed attitude rather than simply dropped.

When KAW950D5 is the right choice

  • Parts that must be released in a fixed orientation — the 5th axis rotates the part, so it is not left to gravity.
  • Insert loading — place a metal insert into the cavity before injection, then take the finished part out on the same cycle.
  • In-mold labeling — position a label in the open mold, then remove the labelled part.
  • 180–300T machines running a 7 kg part plus EOAT within the payload envelope.

EOAT options for this model

The gripper is usually the limiting factor, not the robot. For KAW950D5 we typically supply:

  • Vacuum cup tooling — for flat or gently curved surfaces, low part stress.
  • Mechanical grippers — for parts with a grippable feature and higher cycle demands.
  • Sensor-equipped tools — part-present confirmation so the robot does not cycle on a missed pick.
  • Insert-loading tools — combined insert placement and part removal in one end effector.

See the full EOAT range for gripper construction details.
